COVID-19 Protocols at the Gibbons Public Library

September 21 2021

In response to the recent announcements made by the Government of Alberta, the Gibbons Public Library will implement the following measures for preventing the spread of COVID-19:

  • Mandatory masking.
  • Maintaining 2 metres distancing between members of different households; additionally, library patrons must be with household members only or 2 close contacts if they live alone.
  • Library capacity is limited to 1/3 fire code occupancy.

The provincial government has stated that public libraries will not be eligible for the restrictions exemption program. As a result, we do not require proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test in order to visit the Library.

For those who do not wish to visit the Library in person, curbside pickup remains available. Please call the Library between 10am - 5pm Monday to Friday to arrange a pickup for any items held.

Visit tracpac.ab.ca or use the TRACpac app on your phone to request Library materials.

If you have any questions, please call 780-923-2004 or email librarian@gibbonslibrary.ab.ca.

Stay Safe!
